Hi Tech Rear Vision's AI-powered pedestrian protection system continuously monitors configurable danger zones around the vehicle, providing an extra set of eyes where visibility is limited.
These danger zones are predefined areas surrounding the vehicle where pedestrians are at the greatest risk of entering blind spots during reversing, turning and other low-speed manoeuvres.
If a person enters a monitored zone, the system immediately delivers clear visual and audible alerts, enabling faster driver response before a potential incident occurs.
Rather than replacing the driver, the technology reduces cognitive workload and stress by continuously monitoring blind spots, allowing drivers to focus on safely operating the vehicle with greater confidence.
How it works
Intelligent Detection
The system continuously monitors configurable danger zones around the vehicle using high-definition AI cameras. These danger zones are predefined areas where pedestrians, cyclists and other vulnerable road users are most likely to enter the vehicle's blind spots during reversing, turning or low-speed manoeuvres.
Dual Warning System
When a pedestrian or cyclist enters one of these monitored danger zones, the AI instantly identifies the person and triggers a series of warnings. The driver receives immediate visual and audible alerts inside the cab, while external speakers can simultaneously broadcast an audible warning to the vulnerable road user, making them aware that they are within the vehicle's danger zone.
Enhanced Awareness
By alerting both the driver and the pedestrian at the same time, the system creates valuable additional reaction time for everyone involved. This dual-warning approach helps reduce the risk of collisions in busy environments while supporting safer vehicle operation and improving overall site and road safety.
